A peach tree in blossom is a different thing entirely from the fruit it will eventually carry — the flowers pale, almost pink, the colour of something not yet committed to its final form. Light peach in a net construction carries that quality of the blossom rather than the fruit: lighter than ripe peach, with a translucence that the colour only achieves at the earliest stage of its becoming. A pink so soft it is almost not pink. A peach so light it is almost not peach. Something in the moment just before it decides.
The Pêcher is the most delicate colour in the COOQ Net Collection — light peach mesh that, on the skin, creates the particular visual mixture of the blossom: the thread colour and the warmth of the body beneath combining into something that belongs to neither category alone. The mesh grid in light peach reads softly — the diamond pattern present but diffused by the paleness of the thread, the geometry made gentle by the colour it carries.
